The Polanyi Society is a US IRS 501 (c) 3 tax exempt organization. US citizens can take a tax deduction for donations (above the annual membership fee) and may request from the Polanyi Society a letter acknowledging a donation. If you would like to make a donation, please specify the purpose. Some donation categories are:
PayPal Payments
Clicking on the "Donate" button below will take you to the secure PayPal website, where you may use a credit or debit card to pay dues, make a donation to the Society, or settle other accounts. Please be sure to specify the purpose(s) of your donation when filling out the PayPal forms--click on the plus sign (+) next to "Add any special instructions here" to explain the details of your gift. Step One: This is the first page you will see from PayPal after clicking the "Donate" Button:
Step Two: This is how the page will look after you enter an amount and click "Update Total":
Step Three: After you have logged in, specify the purpose of the transaction:
Step Four: Please note the nature of the donation in the text box. Break down the donation into component parts, if any: dues, library subscription, donation to Endowment, Travel Fund, Conference Fund, etc.
Step Five: Complete the remainder of the steps as required by PayPal. You will know you are finished and that the payment has been made when you see the PayPal confirmation page.
Step Six: PayPal will send you a confirmation e-mail.
